Banjo Lessons

Alfreton music school provide top quality banjo lessons to students of all ages and all abilities. We have a reputation for providing the highest quality of banjo tuition in the Derbyhire and Nottinghamshire areas. All banjo Lessons are held at our teaching studio in Riddings.

Banjo lessons are on a one-to-one basis and our banjo teachers tailor the lessons to individual needs. We do also give the option of having a friend or family member sharing the banjo lesson with our students, meaning pupils can enjoy learning together. We cater for all ages so both children and adults are equally welcomed to learn banjo with us.

Whether you prefer traditional music, or contemporary music our ukulele teachers will get you playing your preferred style. We teach all banjo styles including Traditional, Clawhammer, Pop, Rock, Folk, Country and Blues.

Banjo's are relatively cheap to purchase and therefore a great instrument to take up. Our banjo tutors recognise the importance of using a good quality instrument for learning correct techniques and getting a good feel and sound from the instrument. Our banjo teachers will be able to advise on the best instrument to purchase.

Banjo lessons can lead to public performances at one of our music concerts. Exams are also available for anyone wanting to gain a qualification. However, learning to play banjo for enjoyment and as a hobby is equally encouraged.
