Brass Lessons

Alfreton music school provide top quality brass lessons to students of all ages and all abilities. We have a reputation for providing the highest quality of brass tuition in the Derbyhire and Nottinghamshire areas. All brass Lessons are held at our teaching studio in Riddings.

Alfreton Music School teach all brass instruments including Trumpet, Horn, Cornet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and many more. Brass lessons are on a one-to-one basis and our brass teachers tailor the lessons to individual needs. We do also give the option of having a friend or family member sharing the brass lesson with our students, meaning pupils can enjoy learning together. We cater for all ages so both children and adults are equally welcomed to learn a brass instrument with us.

Whether you prefer traditional music, or contemporary music our brass teachers will get you playing your preferred style. We teach all musical styles including Classical, Pop, Rock, Folk, Country and Jazz & Blues.

Brass instruments vary hugely in price. As a rule the larger brass instruments are generally more expensive. Our Brass tutors recognise the importance of using a good quality instrument for learning correct techniques and getting a good feel and sound from the instrument. Our brass teachers will be able to advise on the best instrument to purchase for beginners.

Brass lessons can lead to public performances at one of our music concerts. Exams are also available for anyone wanting to gain a qualification. However, learning to play an instrument for enjoyment and as a hobby is equally encouraged.
