Violin Lessons

Alfreton music school provide top quality violin lessons to students of all ages and all abilities. We have a reputation for providing the highest quality of violin tuition in the Derbyhire and Nottinghamshire areas. All Violin Lessons are held at our teaching studio in Riddings.

Violin lessons are on a one-to-one basis and our piano teachers tailor the lessons to individual needs. We do also give the option of having a friend or family member sharing the violin lesson with our students, meaning pupils can enjoy learning together. We cater for all ages so both children and adults are equally welcomed to learn violin with us.

As well as Violin our string instrument teachers also specialise in teaching Viola, Cello and Double Bass. Whether you prefer traditional music, or contemporary music our string teachers will get you playing your preferred style. We teach all styles of violin including Classical, Pop, Rock, Country and Jazz & Blues.

String instruments vary in prices drastically with the larger instruments such as cello generally being slightly more expensive. Our violin tutors recognise the importance of using a good quality instrument in lessons for learning correct techniques and getting a good feel and sound from the instrument. When you first start, our violin teachers will be able to recommend a good starter instrument for beginners.

Violin lessons can lead to public performances at one of our violin concerts. Exams are also available for anyone wanting to gain a qualification. However, learning to play violin for enjoyment and as a hobby is equally encouraged.
